Our Policy
All kittens/cats sold the customer
must agree and sign our written contract.
Also, to help aid us in our breeding
program, Purchaser agrees to send photos of the cat to KOONTOPIA at the ages of 6 months and 1 year old. And we would like
to have a photo of the cat each year on it's birthday. Purchaser should enclose a brief note describing the health and temperament
of the cat.
Reservations
We do not accept advance payments
for reservations, due to the uncertainties of nature, although we can keep you on our waiting list. We will
inform you a few days after the birth takes place.
Once we have confirmed between us the
kitten that you will be buying we will then require confirmation of your interest with a down payment.
Also as the breeder we reserve
the right to change our minds on a reservation of a kitten even after a deposit has been received and prior to the kitten
leaving our home. We will either refund your deposit or offer you another kitten in it's place.
Cost
Price varies according
to pedigree, pet or show qualities, which can be determined around 8 weeks after birth.
Our pet kittens are sold
for less than the show ones.
The price range of our show
kittens varies. Showing experience has taught us that as breeders we must recognize the fact that it would be wrong to say
that all kittens are born with equal personalities or same characteristics. Hence, the "show" and "pet" quality distinction.
From young parents whose offspring have not yet attained adulthood, we do not sell as show kittens .
Also, a "pet" kitten may be as beautiful
as a show kitten, but all the socializing will not change the kitten's aversion to crowded environments or to being handled
by strangers in a stressful environment which could disqualify him/her at a show. Whereas, a "show" kitten must have the required
physical characteristics, but will also happily accept being handled by strangers at shows and will have no problems with
crowds or cameras.
Therefore we feel it is important to evaluate
kitten characters and physical development (as each kitten is different irrespective of the socializing and loving care given
to them). This is to ensure that our kittens will be fully appreciated by their future families. Each kitten is first and
foremost in our hearts, and meticulously receives loving care and attention irrespective of "category". Persons who we entrust
our kittens with, are persons who agree with our conditions.
Our kittens are
de-wormed & have vaccinations.
They will receive a full medical examination prior to being shipped.
